Initial projections place Dhurandhar at around Rs. 31 crore net on its 2nd Friday. This milestone marks the first time a Hindi film has breached the Rs. 30 crore net threshold on a 2nd Friday, making it the biggest 2nd Friday in Hindi cinema history and outpacing Pushpa 2 (Hindi) by roughly 25%.
The film’s domestic total stands at approximately Rs. 220 crore net. It is on track to accumulate over Rs. 120 crore net in its 2nd weekend, with a potential rise to Rs. 140 crore net or more. By Sunday, Dhurandhar is expected to surpass Rs. 300 crore net, with further growth anticipated beyond that milestone. The movie gained substantial momentum during its opening week, starting with an exceptional weekend performance and sustaining that energy into the weekdays. Although the daily tallies dipped slightly from Tuesday to Thursday due to diminishing external factors, the underlying organic growth remained healthy, and Thursday’s figures were already pushing close to all-time daily records. The film has now elevated to a new plateau, setting records across multiple dimensions.
Dhurandhar has evolved into a cultural phenomenon, permeating mainstream media and public discourse through its references to real-life events and political themes. This mirrors the pattern seen with the director’s earlier hit, Uri: The Surgical Strike, which also sparked similar cultural resonance. Yet, this time the trajectory is not just stronger; it’s on a considerably larger scale.
The release window coincides with the Christmas–New Year holiday period, one of the most lucrative stretches at the box office. This interval sets the stage for Dhurandhar to surge even further. Several box office milestones are now within reach, including the year’s highest grosser (Kantara: Chapter 1), the highest grossing original Hindi film of all time (Stree 2), and the all-time Bollywood box office peak (Jawan).
