Exciting news for football enthusiasts! The confirmed line-ups for the FA Cup third round match between Spurs and Aston Villa are now available, with kick-off set for 5:45 PM.
In a strategic move, Thomas Frank has opted to make five significant changes to the squad that faced AFC Bournemouth in Wednesday's Premier League match. Notably, Ben Davies and Kevin Danso will strengthen our defense as Cristian Romero faces suspension, while Djed Spence will be starting from the substitutes' bench.
Additionally, injuries to key players Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Bergvall mean that Archie Gray and Wilson Odobert will step into the starting lineup. Meanwhile, Richarlison takes the pitch alongside Randal Kolo Muani, who will be waiting for his chance from the bench.
However, the intriguing aspect of today's game lies within our substitutes. Dominic Solanke and Destiny Udogie make their much-anticipated returns to the squad. This marks Destiny's first appearance since early December during our Premier League campaign, whereas Dom makes a comeback after an extensive absence of 27 games, last playing in our Premier League match against Manchester City back in August.
Here’s how the team is lined up:
Starting XI: Vicario, Danso, Palhinha, Xavi, Richarlison, Tel, Gray, Pedro Porro, Odobert, Davies, Van de Ven (c).
Substitutes: Kinsky, Dragusin, Udogie, Solanke, Spence, Kolo Muani, Scarlett, Byfield, Williams-Barnett.
